An inter school volleyball tournament was organised by DAV Public School Patran under the aegis of Patiala Sahodaya School Complex on 17th and 18th August 2023.Nineteen CBSE schools of Patiala district participated in this tournament with great enthusiasm. On the first day of the tournament 8 teams of girls for Under-14 and Under-19 categories played their matches with great zeal and fervour. But the winner trophy for Under-14 girls was clinched by the team of Kalgidhar National Sen.Sec.School Mungo whereas runner up trophy was captured by the team of Sparkling Kids Sen.Sec. School,Patran. Apart from this, winner trophy for Under-19 girls was clinched by Kalgidhar National Sen.Sec.School Mungo and runner up trophy was captured by the team of Paradise International School Ghagga.

On the second day of the tournament 30 teams of boys for both under-14 and Under-19 categories fought for the winner trophy with great zeal and fervour.But the winner trophy for Under-14 boys was grabbed by the team of Kalgidhar National Sen.Sec.School Mungo whereas runner up trophy was captured by the team of SRS Vidyapeeth Samana. Likewise, winner trophy for Under-19 boys was captured by the team of Mata Gujri Sen. Sec.School Guthmda Devigarh and runner up trophy was captured by Kalgidhar National Sen.Sec.School Mungo. Winner and first runner up teams were honoured with trophies, medals and certificates and all the other players were also given participation certificates.

While concluding the event, worthy Principal Mrs.Meena Thapar congratulated the winning teams and their coaches and also thanked everyone for maintaining the discipline which is required for the smooth functioning of such grand event. She conveyed her special thanks to the coordinators of this event Mr. Ravinder Singh and Ms.Amandeep Kaur for their great coordination. She also thanked and congratulated all the staff members for their valuable contribution in the great success of the event.
